Salaire : 50 000 - 65 000 $ par année, plus avantages sociaux

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Reporting to the National Credit Manager, the Credit Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining, supervising and recommending credit policies and procedures for the Ontario Region: including the investigation of new customers, extending credit lines and granting credit within the prescribed limits. The position will provide leadership and coaching for 2 credit analysts. You will need to effectively communicate and work with the various Operations Departments while protecting corporate interests and mitigating risk of loss. In addition, the ideal candidate will have and perform the following:

  • Ability to forecast recoveries
  • A proven ability to collect money and to coach others to do the same
  • An ability to find a way to creatively resolve customer credit related issues in a win/win manner
  • Ability to effectively manage and direct staff resources to attain performance expectations
  • Advise customers on the available financial services corresponding to their needs
  • Evaluate and review credit applications and collateral and make recommendations
  • Approve or reject credit applications, establish credit limits and determine repayment plans or schedules in accordance with authorized limits
  • Ensure collection of overdue or delinquent accounts
  • Ensure credit policies and procedures are followed according to established guidelines and applicable legislation
  • Interacts with different internal (Sales force) and external (collection agencies or outsourcing) agents for escalations and more complex or difficult accounts whether on the credit or collections side.
  • Trains and coaches staff towards establishing the required knowledge base and skills to reach departmental goals
  • Assists & participates in continuous process improvement within the credit group
  • This role includes recommending modification to credit policy and procedures and communicating them as well as optimizing human and technological resources
  • Follow up on dispute resolution process with customers, credit, sales and operations, involving the National Credit Manager when appropriate
  • Special projects as required
  • Customer visits when required

COMPÉTENCES REQUISES

  • FCI/CCP designation, working towards designation, or equivalent in experience
  • Accounting experience would be an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of Credit and Collections experience with demonstrated progressively responsible positions
  • Familiarity with financial analysis software is an asset and to effectively use the Microsoft Suite of products with keen ability to review spread sheets or other data forms and be able to provide concrete feed back and analysis 
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Good training, coaching, and mentoring skills are essential
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
  • Knowledge of credit reporting and analysis of credit reports,  cost analysis
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a team
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team, the ability to supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Ability to develop and effectively implement work plans or other corrective measures
  • Effective knowledge of PMSI and Registration procedures
  • An ability to execute escalated actions, repossessions, etc on Registrations
  • Credit granting experience
  • A knowledge of heavy equipment and/or related industries would be an invaluable asset
  • Business acumen
  • Negotiation Skills
