DESCRIPTION
Oversee a team of up to 20 regional managers (direct report) and clerical support staff (indirect report) whose main functions are to safeguard revenue and manage financial risk as well as collect outstanding balances on assigned accounts. Lead the client relations team to a mutual goal of customer retention while observing the risk management aspects as it relates to corporate profitability and bad debt reduction.
PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS (dans l'ordre des priorités)
- Minimize impact on corporate revenues by working closely with CR Managers and internal and external liaisons such as (sales, collections, client services) towards a mutual and beneficial financial arrangement (goal) for the customer and the company.
- Motivate, coach and lead managers and support staff to achieve departmental goals, maximizing cash, minimizing bad debt losses, while retaining and growing customer base.
- Collaborate and liaise with internal and external departments to improve process and procedures or events which may contribute to the negative impact of “denied advertising” and communicate with the client relations team any information, processes or changes through department meetings.
- Coaching and training of CRR’s and CRM’s (in house system) with regard to all aspects relating to credit, collection and legal processes and procedures.
- Provide accurate reporting of departmental progress to staff members in order to monitor progress and ensure overall department success.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES
- BA or equivalent Associates Certificate with 7-10 years experience in credit and 5-7 years managing a team (including down line managers) is a must.
- Experience in a national role and managing a team located in various locations is a clear asset.
- Solid business to business experience as well as account management (sales) experience required. Some experience with a unionized workforce would be an asset.
COMPÉTENCES REQUISES
- Able to travel freely to all regional offices across Canada (30%)
- Fluently bilingual (French and English)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong negotiator
- Ability to deal with ambiguous situations.
