Job Title: Junior credit analyst

Permanent (177)

Location: Montreal (Downtown)

 

Salary: $35-40 K / yearly

Starting date: Immediate


Reports to: Chief Underwriter

• Assist in the underwriting process of prospects.

  1. Receive business plans provided by prospective clients.
  2. Scan documents and setup prospect folder in Akiva and sort into appropriate folders.
  3. Setup prospect credit folder and place documents into appropriate sections.
  4. Complete and update prospect checklist.
  5. Order reports on prospect company and principles (Equifax, DNB, PPSA, RDPRM, RTL)
  6. Complete AR Assessment on prospect’s top 10 customers or specified by sales representative based off of prospect’s AR schedule.
    1. Order credit reports (Equifax, DNB) on customers.
    2. Retrieve and analyze financial statements if customer is public company.
    3. Link customer to Parent Company if link exists.
    4. Provide recommendation on amount of approved credit.
    5. Submit AR assessment for review.
    6. Make corrections and update as necessary.
  7. Analyze financial statements of prospect & spread on FS Spreadsheet template using prospect’s income statement, balance sheet & cash flow statement.
  8. Complete Margin Coverage Schedule based on Financial projections
  9. Submit complete prospect folder for review by Chief Underwriter.
  10. Update prospect folder as required.

 

• Adjudicate customer credit (trade) requests of $XX,000 or less.

  1. Retrieve information of customer online and order Equifax report.
  2. Use Accord database to verify customer (if applicable).
  3. Request credit application from customer if necessary.
  4. Retrieve credit information on customer from trade references and specified bank listed on the submitted credit application.

 

• Forward Board credit approval requests to Members of the Board and circulate to Management when received.

 

• Circulate Internal Board Credit Approval to key managers.

 

• Setup credit limits on mainframe for customers once takeover of prospect is complete.

  1. Prepare takeover approval for customers with credits over $150,000.

 

• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
