Job Title: CREDIT OFFICER - Inventory Finance

Permanent Position (KP04132-O7)

Location: Oakville, Ontario Industry: Financial services
Salary: $ 60 000 and more / year + benefits Starting date: Immediate

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Credit Officer - Inventory Finance will manage the day-to-day credit operations.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

1. Underwrite and Credit Adjudicate all inventory finance dealer submissions/renewals within predetermined turnaround time and approval targets/guidelines.
2. Ensure credit adjudication is in accordance with the company’s policy in an effort to minimize credit losses.
3. Ensure all reporting time lines and requirements are met.
4. Manage daily inventory finance activity re: approval over lines, extensions, line adjustments, exception requests, and audit exception review.
5. Liaise with the management and vice presidents.
6. Meet with large-ticket prospect clients where applicable

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all of the required service levels are met and that all policies and procedures are followed in order to limit the overall risk to the company. This will include monitoring an existing portfolio of 80+ dealers and reporting to credit management.

• Review and/or adjudicate dealer credit applications & renewals (80%)
• Prepare/maintain required business reports in Excel spreadsheets (10%)
• Communication – meetings with credit management on day-to-day challenges; Customers (internal/external); Sales (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS

• College diploma or University degree in Business or finance preferred
• Minimum 5 plus years of previous leasing industry experience in Inventory Finance experience in one or more of the following industries: Materials Handling; Construction; Transportation.
• Working knowledge of financial statements and solid skills in basic financial analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required in English, French an asset
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle time deadlines and pressure situations in a calm manner.
• Strong Computer skills with previous experience in:
   - Analyzing Equifax, Dun & Bradstreet and other credit reports
   - MS Word, Excel
   - Infolease (not required but would be beneficial)
   - MFA and/or spreadsheet analysis
   - Financial ratio and trending analysis
